5/32″ or ‘pipeline’ wheels can be used for cutting, light grinding or root passes when welding pipe. 1/4″ wheels are used exclusively for grinding.
Stainless Depressed Center Grinding Wheels can be used on steel for more aggressive cutting and cooler grinding action. This action will contaminate the wheel, so they must not be reused on stainless steel material again during their lifetime.
Always grind or cut using a guard and appropriate protection equipment and protocols.
